Best vietnamese beef noodle soup

Well, I've now visited the place recommended below, and I was highly unimpressed. It wasn't bad, but it certainly was far from "the best vietnamese beef noodle soup of my life". Maybe San Francisco has spoiled me, or maybe I just have very different tastes from the poster below. I eat beef like once a year, if that, but when I had beef pho at Sunflower down in the San Francisco mission district, I thought it was awesome.

I just had the best vietnamese beef noodle soup of my
life.

Finally, after three years of searching, I actually
had a bowl of Pho that I loved.

What makes this so special? First, its a little
spicier than most. Next, the broth is less
watery/more beefy. Third (and my favorite) the
noodles are angel hair.

Best of all, they have great drinks too. Its called
"Republic" and its on the west side of Union square
(thats 14th - 16th streets and lexington ave - ish)

Republic

27 Union square west (tween 16 & 17) easy access from
the 4,5,6,R,L,N. or walk two blocks east from the F,V
on sixth ave and 14th if you like.

Just walk in and turn LEFT.
