Today I added 7 grommets to the collar of a white dress shirt. This spawned a bunch of ideas.

Get a thin thrift-store tie and put grommets down it. Then I'd have a grommet dress shirt with grommet tie.

The dress-shirt could probably take more grommets. Down the front between the buttons. On the cuffs. Maybe smaller grommets for the cuffs.

Also, instead of grommets from the collar, I'd like to try the male part of a snap.

I was thinking about the grommet belts you see all over. How about getting some tight fitting pants, cut of the belt loops and then just grommet around the top part of the pants. Then wear a shortish shirt and no belt (of course). I think that might look really damn hot.
